The First Mid-week Meeting at SDPM

My name is Sean Worix, I am 21 and I am an Ambassador for Christ. I had the special privilege of attending Mid-Week Meeting at the “Sabbath Day Pioneer Mission” near Fresno, CA. This was an amazing experience as I witnessed a people who were experiencing in real-time, the outpouring of the Latter Rain. We began by praying together. Pastor Daniel Mesa began with a beautiful prayer asking for the presence of God’s Spirit to be poured out within us. His prayer was trailed by others lifted up to the Most Holy Place of the heavenly sanctuary, pleading with God to lead us in our Bible study and to help us know Him, the only true God and His only-begotten Son, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Others sincerely prayed for healing of those they loved and cared for, some asked for God’s blessing on this fellowship, this town, this state, and our blessed nation. The bible verse that lingered in my mind during this prayer time was James 5:16, “Confess your faults to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” We are told from the pen of Inspiration (CSA 27.1) that “the darkness of the evil one encloses those who neglect to pray.” It goes on to say that “why should we be reluctant to pray, when prayer is the key in the hand of faith to unlock heaven’s storehouse, where are treasured the boundless resources of Omnipotence?”

When the sweet fragrance of our prayers closed in reverential awe, we opened our Bibles and followed them with the sincere and beautiful words of Jesus as we examined the scriptures on who The Father is. Pastor Daniel led a Spirit-filled Bible study on the Seventh-Day Adventist Church’s official 1889 Fundamental Principle 1 of 28, “Who is God the Father?” We studied for an hour and a half. We took turns reading out loud a plethora of scripture revealing insightful details on this fundamental principle. I would glance across our study hall and the eyes of men and women were ignited with a passion and love for their Heavenly Father as we went through the Bible verses. Many asked questions and every one of them were answered on a “Thus sayeth the Lord…” or “It is written…” fashion. Brothers and sisters shared as they were moved in the Spirit why they believed in this message and how the Father has blessed them for the “Daniel in the lion’s den”-like boldness they have exhibited in proclaiming the 3 Angel’s Message through this lens of the looking-glass where the smoke screen has finally been lifted from their eyes.

Brothers and sisters, Jesus is atoning for our sins as our mediator (1 Tim 2:5), and as our parakletos (which is Greek for “advocate” and “Comforter” (1 John 2:1)) and He is longing to return to bring us home to show us to His Father as the fruits of the great harvest of His labor, toil, and death on the cross for us, that He may be able to fulfill in antitype, the feast of tabernacles (Lev 23:34 & Duet 16:13), which will be the marriage supper of the Lamb (Rev 19:9). How He longs to be able to sit down and have a heavenly cooked meal with us. But He cannot do this until He has a people prepared for His second coming (Rev 14:1-5 & Heb 11:39-40). I say all of that, to say this: What I witnessed in this Bible study revealed that the appointed time of the appearing of the Son of Man in the clouds of glory is IMMINENT! God has a people, and they are preparing themselves (1 John 3:2-3). We must study to show ourselves approved (2 Tim 2:15) and I can attest to one thing, truly these men and women are heeding this counsel and hiding the Word of God upon the tables of their hearts that it might be a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path (Ps 119:105) and so they can share it with the world and proclaim it from the hilltops completing our highest calling given in Matthew 24:14, “And THIS GOSPEL of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Even so, Come, Lord Jesus (Rev 22:20).
